Tonya, can you share a bit about Dr. Hosseinzadeh’s approach to care?

Absolutely. Dr. Hosseinzadeh is not only brilliant—she’s deeply compassionate and personally invested in every patient's success. She performs all medical procedures herself, including ultrasounds, egg retrievals, and embryo transfers. That level of continuity and hands-on care is incredibly rare. Over my 25 years in medicine, I’ve worked with many physicians, and I can honestly say few match her commitment. Our patients don’t just receive exceptional medical care. They feel seen, supported, and truly cared for.

What is your role at the Fertility Institute of San Diego?

I oversee all international and domestic third-party reproductive services. If you're working with us from outside the U.S., or pursuing treatment through egg donation or surrogacy, I’ll be your point of contact. My role is to walk beside you—coordinating care, answering questions, simplifying complex details, and making sure your journey feels manageable and meaningful. It’s a privilege to be that trusted support for patients navigating such an important chapter of their lives.

What’s one thing you wish more people understood about egg donation and surrogacy?

These pathways to parenthood can feel overwhelming at first, but they’re also among the most successful fertility treatments available today. When you combine a healthy egg, strong sperm, and a proven uterus, the chances of a successful outcome are outstanding. That said, the journey is layered and personal. Experience matters. At FISD, Dr. Hosseinzadeh and I have spent years guiding patients from around the world through these processes. Our goal is to make every step clearer, calmer, and more empowering.

What are you most excited about at Wish for a Baby Australia?

Meeting people. Everyone's story is unique, and I truly enjoy listening, educating, and helping individuals understand what’s possible. There’s something incredibly powerful about giving someone clarity on their path forward, especially when they’ve felt lost or uncertain. I’m looking forward to connecting with future parents and walking them through their options with warmth and honesty.
